Latest Wolves transfer news as news emerges of one Premier League club moving ahead of five other teams in the race.
Arsenal have reportedly entered talks with Wolves about the possibility of signing their star man Matheus Cunha.
The news comes after it was revealed by manager Gary O’Neil that the club would be offering the 25-year-old a new contract. The deal is said to be ‘lucrative’ and they want to extend his stay by a further two-years. Cunha joined Wolves in 2023 initially on loan, but had his move made permanent, with Wolves buying him for a reported £44m.
Wolves would be reluctant to part with Cunha given his importance to the side. This season he is their top scorer with seven goals and three assists in 14 Premier League matches.

Graeme Bailey, who is the head of Football at GRV Media, reports transfer news on HITC Football and The Boot Room. He believes that Wolves could get between a £6m and £16m profit on Cunha, following the £54m sale of Pedro Neto to Chelsea.
“I think the precedent has been set by [Pedro] Neto,” said Bailey to Molineux News.
“I think Cunha could go for that ballpark of £50m to £60m.
“I think it’s around that, it depends who is interested. I don’t see Wolves getting that much more for Cunha but then, possible inflation next summer.
“Let’s see how he finishes the season, if he can get 15-20 goals then you never know.”
