After their troubling defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, Wolverhampton Wanderers are in 19th place in the Premier League and now three points behind Crystal Palace.
Gary O’Neil and his Wolves side looked to be on the up after wins against both Southampton and Fulham – they were making the most of an improved run of fixtures.
However, the manner of back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Everton, conceding four goals in each game, has put O’Neil’s position under severe pressure once again.
That being said, TBR Football understands that O’Neil will get at least one more game in charge of Wolves.
Wolves willing to give Gary O’Neil another chance against West Ham
Wolves’ hierarchy were left upset by the club’s display at Everton, a performance that was ultimately undone by poor finishing and an inability to defend set-pieces.
As a result, O’Neil’s future has been discussed by Wolves chiefs, who are willing to give their manager at least one more chance.

Fascinatingly, Wolves face a trip to West Ham United next to face their former boss Julen Lopetegui who is also under all sorts of pressure in east London.
After leaving Wolves last season, Lopetegui has seriously struggled despite heavy investment at West Ham, and his side are only six points better off than O’Neil’s.
David Sullivan held a meeting over Lopetegui’s future following their loss to Ipswich Town, and fortunately for the Spaniard, a slim majority of the hierarchy were still in favour of him staying.
Gary O’Neil staying publicly calm about his Wolves future
After losing at Goodison Park, O’Neil did comment on his future, a manager who’s still backing his own ability.
The Englishman initially did fantastically to turn Wolves’ season around once Lopetegui left, and has now claimed that he still has ‘zero concerns’ moving forward.
O’Neil said: “I have zero concerns over my role and future as a coach. I know how hard I work and I’m comfortable with the work I do, but of course I want results to improve.
“I understand results will decide how long I stay at Wolves.”
And perhaps if either O’Neil or Lopetegui lose at the London Stadium on Monday then there could be a new managerial vacancy in the Premier League.
