Hazard revealed his son's emotions while watching Chelsea.
Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard shared an interesting tidbit about the 2023-24 season in a conversation with Reece James. The winger claimed that his little son cried after every Blues game after the club endured a difficult season.
The previous two seasons have been tough to watch for Chelsea fans as they struggled to navigate waters under the new ownership of Todd Boehly and the Clearlake consortium.
Hazard said (via A Star Barbers on YouTube):
“You know Leo my little one, he was crying all last year after every game, he was in depression you know, he’s a crazy Chelsea fan.”

The Blues finished a dreadful 12th in the 2022-23 season, going through three different permanent coaches (Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard). Mauricio Pochettino was hired for the following campaign but their fortunes did not turn over early on as their difficulties continued.
However, the emergence of Cole Palmer along with a strong finish saw them finish sixth and gain qualification to the Conference League.
Despite that, the Argentinian was removed from his position as the west London outfit looked for alternatives. They eventually settled on Enzo Maresca, who had just secured promotion to the Premier League with Leicester City.
The Italian has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge as the Blues find themselves second in the league.
Former Chelsea star explains why the side are not in the title race
Former Blues defender Frank Lebouef has suggested that Arsenal and Liverpool are the only two sides in this season's Premier League title race. The Frenchman stated that the Blues did not have the required experience yet to make a run, saying (via ESPN FC):
"I think City is going to struggle. I don’t have Chelsea in the title race. Only Arsenal and Liverpool for me. I want to be cautious. Arsenal can react well and if Liverpool start losing points like today [against Newcastle]. They should’ve won that game even if it was a fair result at 3-2 they should have won. Chelsea, I want to be cautious because they are still young players and the confidence can easily lose it because of the inexperience.’
A strong start to life under Enzo Maresca has seen the London side occupy the second spot in the league. They are level on points with the Gunners (28) but have a better goal difference.
Liverpool remain the clear favorites now despite their 3-3 draw to Newcastle United. The Reds have 35 points and are seven points clear of both the Blues and Arsenal, with Manchester City two points further away in fourth.
