Arsenal were able to take all three points on Wednesday night in their meeting with Manchester United at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured the points with two goals in the second half both coming from corners, with Ruben Amorim admitting defending set pieces was an issue for his side.
A clean sheet rounded off a good week for Arsenal who emphatically beat West Ham United on the weekend.
Only Liverpool (11) have conceded fewer goals than Arsenal (14) this season with three of those coming on Wednesday night against Newcastle United.
Arsenal fans were delighted by William Saliba’s performance against United in north London despite Declan Rice picking up the Man of the Match award.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson said there was one player for the Gunners who did something simply unbelievable.

Paul Merson wowed by David Raya’s save in Arsenal vs Man United
Arteta praised Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior for their showings at the back in what was a makeshift defence against United.
But Merson thinks the save which David Raya made in the second half on Wednesday night will go well under the radar.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Merson labeled the saved from the Spain international as ‘unbelievable’ to keep the visitors at bay.
“Raya made an unbelievable save at 1-0. That will go under the radar,” he said.
“At that time, Arsenal couldn’t have played any better.”
Arteta has been impressed with Raya’s development since making the move to Arsenal having pushed Aaron Ramsdale out of the club.
This is not the first time the Spain international has pulled out the heroics this season to keep Arsenal’s opposition out.
Mikel Arteta also praised Raya’s save
It was a fairly quiet evening for Raya with the Arsenal shot-stopper only forced into making two saves on the night.
Even the Shakhtar Donetsk manager hailed Raya following their recent Champions League clash around a month ago.
Also speaking after the game, Arteta admitted he was left so impressed by Raya after seeing the save he made.
“Especially the one from the header, we gave the ball away very cheaply and conceded the foul. That’s why he’s been unbelievable because, on one or two occasions, they hardly have any shots from open play,” said Arteta.
Gabriel Martinelli thinks Arsenal are lucky to have Raya and with saves like he made on Wednesday night, the Gunners are clearly very thankful of their goalkeeper.
