James McFadden was wowed by Dwight McNeil’s delivery for the fourth Everton goal in their 4-0 rout of Wolves on Wednesday.
The Toffees secured an all-important three points against Gary O’Neil’s side with goals from Ashley Young, Orel Managala and two own goals from Craig Dawson the difference.
It was the fourth of those goals that caught the eye of McFadden live on Sky Sports News (4 December) who picked out the English winger for his delivery.
He said: “It’s absolute pinch-yourself time for Everton fans. It’s another wide free-kick, delivery from Dwight McNeil, perfect, on the spot.
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes the run and he gets there at the near post ahead of Craig Dawson and puts it into the back of the net. It’s another great delivery.”

It is safe to say that it was a night to remember for the Goodison Park faithful in a clash where they simply had to secure all three points.
Wolves have had a difficult start to the season which was summed up by them conceding three penalties in one match against Bournemouth last time out.
Their poor fortune continued into their trip to Merseyside with Dawson’s two own goals summing up their luck in recent weeks.
Sean Dyche will argue that his side had to create their own luck and did so through excellent set-piece deliveries from McNeil throughout the clash.
The 25-year-old didn’t technically get a goal involvement but regardless had a telling impact and it arguably would have been a different result without him.
There was a lot to appreciate about the wide-man’s performance as he once again showed his class for the Toffees and Dyche will be delighted that it came in such an important game.
