La Liga champions Real Madrid have on Thursday been made aware of the date on which they will lock horns with Valencia at Mestalla.
Real, of course, were due to make the trip to Valencia for a La Liga clash early last month.
The fixture, however, was ultimately postponed, owing to the devastating floods which hit Valencia and the surrounding region in the week prior.
Both clubs, in turn, have since been awaiting confirmation of the new date for the matchup.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday afternoon, precisely as much has been provided.
As confirmed by Real Madrid insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, citing journalist Conrado Valle, Los Blancos will make the trip to Mestalla early in the new year, on January 2nd for an 8pm kick-off.
An official announcement regarding the fixture’s rescheduling is expected to follow in short order, at some point today.
