After winning the Championship league title the week before away at Bolton Wanderers, the newly crowned champions faced a Brighton side challenging for a play-off spot.

Ulloa was already one of the stars of the Championship back then and his brace dampened the spirits amongst the home fans.

He made such an impact that just a few months later he ended up joining Leicester as the club’s record signing at the time for a fee of £8m.

Also on the scoresheet that night was former Leicester loanee Jesse Lingard, who eventually went on to play for Manchester United and is now plying his trade in South Korea.

Ulloa is extremely popular at Leicester and on the south coast.

The Argentine scored Leicester’s first Premier League goal after a 10-year absence from the top flight and made a sensational start, scoring against the likes of Arsenal and Man United.

He also scored three vital goals in the Foxes’ run to win the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season, converting a last-minute penalty against West Ham before bragging a brace at home to Swansea City a week later.

At Brighton he was also just as clinical, scoring 28 goals in less games at the Seagulls than the 20 he netted for the Foxes.

During his time at Leicester, Ulloa played in the Champions League too and did have a brief spell back on loan at Brighton after falling out of favour before moving to Mexico to join Pachuca.
