Hansi Flick could consider rotation for Barcelona’s upcoming clash against Real Betis

Following a string a poor results, Barcelona swung back to winning ways this midweek as they secured a comprehensive 5-1 win over Mallorca.

Moreover, the Catalans were able to extend their lead at the top of the league table, thanks to Real Madrid’s shock defeat at the hands of Athletic Club.

Barcelona’s next assignment will be on Saturday as they take on Real Betis at the Benito Villamarin.

Flick considering team rotation

The Real Betis clash will mark Barcelona’s third match in the space of just one week. Coach Hansi Flick, therefore, may consider rotating his pack.

According to SPORT, the German tactician already conducted his most recent training session, with an eye on rotation.

Dani Olmo trained with the rest of the team, which suggests the Spaniard might be fit to start once again.

Flick, though, could be cautious given how many matches Olmo has missed this season. The same could apply to Lamine Yamal, who has recently recovered from an injury.

It will be interesting to see if Flick tries to leverage the options he has in the form of several La Masia talents, waiting for their chance to start this weekend.

At the same time, Flick could bring back Robert Lewandowski, who was rested in the Mallorca clash. Ferran Torres is also an option, having recently returned from his knock.

In defence, Inigo Martinez may have no choice but to continue as Ronald Araujo, despite returning to training, is not fit enough to feature.

Raphinha, having refused to be rested against Mallorca, might be another candidate who could be given a breather.
