Graham Potter is reportedly being lined up to replace Julen Lopetegui as West Ham manager, 20 months after being sacked by Chelsea.
The Hammers have won just one of their past five matches and have conceded eight times in their last two outings. The club sit 14th and six points above the relegation zone, having lost half of their 14 Premier League fixtures.
It hasn't gone to plan for the former Wolves boss since taking over from David Moyes earlier this summer, with reports this week claiming the Hammers' hierarchy were considering their options.
Potter has been vocal about his desire to get back into management, having reportedly rejected a number of job offers during his time out of the game. Speaking to Amazon Prime this week, he refused to close the door on any opportunity.
“As I've said before, you are open to everything,” he said. “At the same time, I am really enjoying this [punditry] as well because it gives you another perspective.
"You get to see it from your eyes and how the media thinks about the game. That's always interesting. It's a different lens and that can only make you better once you understand that. I've enjoyed that."
Reports now suggest he is poised to take the reins at West Ham. The 49-year-old was sacked by Chelsea in April 2023, less than seven months into a five-year contract.
He had presided over 11 defeats in 31 matches at the Blues having attained a 38.7 win percentage - higher than the 31.1 win ratio he attained at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Potter had been linked with the England job prior to the FA’s appointment of Thomas Tuchel, the man he succeeded at Chelsea.
