Michael Olise has found himself in a ‘form crisis’ at Bayern Munich, with his early displays for the German giants now a distant memory.
[That’s according to BILD](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/michael-olise-vom-neuen-robben-zum-leistungstief-bei-bayern-675164728ca83b3c7c9f9cca), who cover the former Crystal Palace star today and how he appears to have fallen off a cliff in terms of his form.
Olise was one of the big names of the summer transfer window when the 22-year-old swapped Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich in a €53m move.
He started out as a key player under Vincent Kompany and justified that with good numbers, posting six goals and three assists in his first nine games. That saw him being compared to Arjen Robben, but everyone agreed he ‘delivered straight away’.
He was celebrated as the best new signing at the club, but he has ‘suddenly lost’ some of his momentum in the last few weeks.
He sat on the bench against Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, and nothing came of it when he was given his chance against Bayer Leverkusen. BILD even gave him a five rating in that game, which is the second worst in their system and described as ‘deficient’.
That’s what his numbers look like too as he’s managed just one goal and two assists in 10 games since mid-October. The ‘momentum and dynamism’ of his early days has disappeared.
There’s even been criticism for France, and he’s been making headlines lately because of a lack of shin pads and not through goals and assists.
It’s a disappointing situation for the forward, who is perhaps finding life away from Crystal Palace far more difficult than he might have imagined.
