West Ham United will give Julen Lopetegui another shot ahead of the Wolves fixture, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported on X [5 December] that the Hammers are “prepared” to give the Spaniard one more chance as he’s confirmed to lead the squad on 9 December in the Premier League against Gary O’Neil’s team.
Lopetegui is under severe pressure, and the East London club are considering several candidates to replace the 58-year-old if things don’t change.
The Spaniard has lost seven games in the English top flight since taking over at the London Stadium, with the Hammers sitting 14th in the table.

The Irons’ performance against Leicester on 3 December was encouraging in the attacking sense, but there are glaring issues Lopetegui needs to address at the back.

At the King Power Stadium, the East London club dominated the proceedings but were beaten 3-1 after goals from Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka.
West Ham signed several quality players in the summer, with the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo and Crysencio Summerville making their way to the London Stadium.
Lopetegui has failed to bring the best out of the squad at his disposal, and the Hammers sit just six points above the relegation zone after 14 Premier League matches.

The Irons’ faithful have made their feelings clear about the 58-year-old, with away fans at the King Power chanting for the Spaniard’s sacking.
David Sullivan has given Lopetegui plenty of time to turn things around, but it looks like things will only get worse with him in charge.
The Spanish head coach is unarguably on thin ice, and a loss to his former side, Wolves, should be the end of his tenure at the Irons.
