Liverpool Echo readers have been weighing in on Liverpool's recent 3-3 draw with Newcastle United, where Mohamed Salah's brace was almost enough to help Arne Slot's side to another win. The draw trimmed Liverpool's Premier League lead to just seven points after 14 matches, marking only their second draw of the top-flight season so far. Following the result, Liverpool supporters voiced their concerns over the depth of the squad and highlighted the need for more reinforcements.

Here's what some of our readers had to say:
OverDerek57keeper believes: "It is games like this that shows (as good as I think the squad is) that in some areas we lack the depth to be able to play 3 tough games in week. We had few rotation options with Bradley, Konate, and Tsimikas all out injured and TAA just returning from a lay off. We looked tired, physically and mentally, but improved in the second half. I was expecting to see Endo coming on in the second half. Kelleher's error was a great pity after several games where he saved us. However, no defender was tracking back either. Nunez works his socks off but he isn't a goal poacher. We need Jota back ASAP. Slot will have learned some lessons from this game. Lets hope FSG learn something too."
Jaykz says: "Salah is worldclass. Irreplaceable. Gakpo and Diaz quiet evening. Gravenberch not his day. Nunez only scores the difficult ones. The easy ones are always off target. Isak would be a fine transfer for Liverpool. Liverpool without Konate is a different beast. Defence had a difficult evening. Quansah talented. But does not impress as a rightback. Gomez, some games he is just like prime VvD. But when he loses concentration he is prone to making mistakes that can lead to goals. Kelleher unlucky. Misjudgement they say, but could he really have punched or caught the ball? It was quite high. But Isak and Gordon are proper ballers. A point is still a point."
Caymandriver thinks: "We had two very hard games last week and perhaps for Newcastle it was a good time to play us. It was always going to be a tough fixture and so it proved to be. We should have expected them to press us very hard at the start and of course they did. We should have played longer and put some doubt in their game plan. I still see it as a point gained because there are few tougher places on the road to play. The team had a poor day but some individuals, notably Salah and trent were really good. Kelleher can be excused that mistake since he has been fantastic for us this season. Nunez has come to the end now. He needs to be sold if possible. We do need another CB if only to replace Matip. Gomez is our utility defender so has a part to play. Quansah is still very young and learning. The 3 contracts need to be sorted ASAP."
Pangpang123 adds: "We can't expect to win every game. But definitely could have done better. I would put this as lethargic performance. We definitely need another defensive midfielder in as a rotation. We should have sold Endo as he deserves better. CB is another position we should be strengthening as Quansah and Gomez probably not going be good enough we want to compete for titles. And yes, we need a proper striker. We can't have a striker that doesn't score goals. We clearly missing Bradley, Konate and Jota today. Got to regroup again against Everton. Don't expect it to be a smooth sailing game. Anything but three points would be crucial. Again hopefully no more injuries."
Neil1169 writes: "Typical supporters turning on individuals who have collectively beaten the Champions of England, Germany, Europe and the world in recent games. First players are tired, the schedule is simply ridiculous. Second, Slot’s system simply doesn’t work against a midfield three playing narrow with runners and two high, wide and fast wingers. Every time we’ve struggled, it is against this system. It is the Achilles Heel of the double pivot midfield. It isolates the full backs and then splits the Centre Halves who have to go and support the full back. It’s no disgrace for Quansah to be second best in an unfamiliar role, with little game time and facing one of Europe’s Premier left wingers. Why would anyone judge him? It’s pure bad luck that we’ve got three right sided defenders injured or just returning to fitness. Lessons need to be learnt and quickly by Slot."
Cmlfc1 says: "A poor performance, but we are still unbeaten away from home! My concern is conceding six goals in our last two away games and our massive reliance on Mo! Saturday's game will be a similar challenge. We need to keep our heads and show our class and every player to contribute!"
Campione84 comments: "The subs should have been done at half time, the balance down the right was off from the word go. A rare off night for Gravenberch and Mac Allister looks tired from the start of games sometimes. Nunez is an absolute liability as a central striker. He doesn't know where to stand or run. One run in the first half took 3 defenders right into the area where Gakpo was trying to shoot from. We need Jota back ASAP."
Spellman thinks: "No doubt players were leggy after two immense battles, and that's not good when going to St. James' Park. Newcastle took advantage of it and pressed the midfield at max. Liverpool before the break were the worst since the Forest loss, and though Mo Salah almost saved the game again, neither he had any impressive first half. Too bad for Kelleher who have been a match winner so far."
Jonty16 feels: "Today showed the need for a tough tackling midfielder. Grav who has been brilliant all season lost the physical battle. It’s games like this you need Endo just to match the physicality. A game where all the defensive players decided to have a day off."
Speckey adds: "Injuries will dictate whether we win the league or not. Sadly one is like Gomez and Quansah are two or three levels below what is required. This issue has happened season after season, we have a great 14 / 15 players but when we are stretched some are just not good enough. We are desperate for another world-class centre back."
