David Beckham is dreaming big in Miami
David Beckham and Inter Miami have made Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne their primary transfer target.
The MLS side are growing increasingly confident securing the Belgian midfielder's signature as the veteran braces to become a free agent at the end of the season. Should he not agree a new deal by next month, De Bruyne will be free to talk to other clubs during the final six months of his cntract and Inter Miami bosses will look to open talks.
Should he make the move, De Bruyne would join the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in Florida. Beckham knows luring the 33-year-old would prove a major coup for his team and the league, as they continue their quest to win a first title.
De Bruyne's future at City was under scrutiny over the summer with talk of strong interest from a host of Saudi Arabian clubs. The former Chelsea ace ultimately decided to remain with the Premier League champions rather than uproot his family, though a move to the United States could prove more appealing.
A move to Inter Miami could see De Bruyne quickly face off with City. Miami plays host to the draw for the inaugural expaned FIFA World Club Cup this evening, in which both teams will compete, which takes place in the summer.
De Bruyne has endured a difficult season due to injury but returned to fine form to inspire City back to winning ways after a run of six defeats in seven matches. The influential ace scored and assisted in a man-of-the-match display in a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, making his first start since September.
The performance offered a fine response to claims De Bruyne and boss Pep Guardiola have fallen out. The Catalan coach was forced to clarify his relationship with the City star ahead of his side's win.

"People say I’ve got a problem with Kevin," he said. "Do you think I like to not play with Kevin? I don’t want Kevin to play? The guy who has the most talent in the final third. I don’t want it? I have a personal problem with him after nine years together?
"He’s delivered to me the biggest success to this club. I’m desperate to have his best.
"But he’s been five months injured and two months injured. He’s 33 years old. He needs time to find his best."
De Bruyne also rubbished the notion of a falling out. Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: "It's been an uncomfortable injury, a mystery and a puzzle.
"I'm getting better slowly. I was able to play a big amount of minutes and not feel bad. It's a relief."
"I know a lot has been said," he added. "There have never been issues between me and Pep. He knows I've been struggling [with a sports hernia]. It's painful and uncomfortable."
