However, in a major blow for Real Madrid, it appears Davies’ future could take a dramatic U-turn, as the player is now closing in on a renewal at Bayern.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have recently significant progress regarding a contract extension with Davies.

The two parties are currently involved in negotiations, where key figures are being discussed. A point sticking point for two parties was Davies’ salary demands.
But in recent days, the Canadian international has reportedly agreed to lower his salary demands, which has played into Bayern’s favour.
The Bavarians’ idea is to secure a long-term deal for Davies. The player for his part has made significant concessions to Bayern and is ready to extend his association with the Bundesliga giants.
Plettenberg adds that Davies’ potential suitor Manchester United are already aware of his contract situation. One would expect Real Madrid, too, have been informed of the development.
