So Julen Lopetegui has avoided the sack for one more game at least it seems.
The West Ham owners met for a board meeting today, and decided to keep him in charge for one more game at least.
Julen Lopetegui has proven to be an absolutely terrible fit for West Ham so far, and the fans, and players for that matter, have been completely uninspired by his methods so far.
His days at the London Stadium are surely numbered.
The stay of execution for Lopetegui is futile to say the least. If we beat Wolves does he then get two more games to save his job?

Keeping him at the club is a pointless exercise, and it proves to me that David Sullivan hates being proved wrong!
He may well be cutting off his nose to spite his face though.
Appalling decision not to sack Julen Lopetegui exacerbated
The decision to keep the Spaniard at the London Stadium reeks of a lack of ambition.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
We all know that a win over Wolves will prove absolutely nothing.
It’s clear to see for anybody who understands the game that Lopetegui hasn’t actually got a clue what he’s doing.
And now the decision to keep him at the club could really backfire.

That’s because Brazilian side Atlético-MG have ‘initiated contact’ with free agent Sergio Conceicao, according to Goal out in Brazil.
That could end up being terrible news for us, and it means that we may well miss out on him due to the pathetic decision to keep hold of Lopetegui for one more game at least.
The Hammers have been heavily linked with a move to appoint Conceicao, 50, and he apparently wants the London Stadium gig.
The former Porto boss would get us purring as a team and one thing’s for sure, he would get us far more organised defensively than we have been over the past few months.
He is incredibly intense and would not accept anything less than 100% from every single player at the London Stadium.
Sergio Conceicao is a proven winner and a leader as well, and that’s exactly what we need at West Ham right now.
West Ham absolutely have to sack Julen Lopetegui now, if we want a genuine shot at the 50-year-old.
