**_Sky Sports_ pundit Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal rather than Chelsea will be the biggest threat to Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.**
Both London clubs reduced the gap to seven points with wins on Wednesday evening, although Chelsea moved above the Gunners on goal difference after their 5-1 win against Southampton. Asked to assess the two teams, Carragher replied:
“As a Liverpool fan, I’m more worried about Arsenal than Chelsea, they’re a bit more machine-like than Chelsea. But Chelsea are playing so well.”
With Carragher’s former team drawing against Newcastle and travelling to Everton on Sunday, there could be a chance for Mikel Arteta’s side to close the gap even further when they face Fulham on Sunday.
Arsenal’s run of fixtures over the festive period

After [**beating Manchester United**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-vs-manchester-united-player-ratings-declan-rice-william-saliba/), the Gunners have four more league matches in December. Following their game at Craven Cottage this weekend, they then host Everton at the Emirates.
Just a few days before Christmas, Arteta’s men have a tricky trip to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace. They then have a six-day gap prior to a home match versus Ipswich Town. They are, arguably, all winnable fixtures.
Who are the favourites to win the Premier League title?
-------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool are still odds-on favourites to finish top of the table at the bookmakers with odds as short as 8/11. Arsenal remain second in the running, being priced between 2/1 and 5/2.
Manchester City are third favourites at 6/1 to 7/1 and Chelsea (despite being 2nd) are currently 12/1 to 14/1. A lot could change over the next month, especially with so many matches being played, so the Gunners may yet become favourites for 1st if the teams around them do start to falter. It’s promises to be a very exciting title race.
