When you are looking to sell one of your players, it is always nice to find out that multiple, deep-pocketed Premier League clubs – Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham among them – are all ears.
And that certainly appears to be the case with a midfielder who, not so long ago, was being held up as a future lynchpin for one of Europe’s bonafide A-list clubs.
TBR understands that, with Juventus considering a sale and with suitors across Europe being made aware of his availability, Nicolo Fagioli is on Man City, Aston Villa and Tottenham’s radars.
Not only that but also Fulham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, too.
Further afield, there is interest in the £29 million-rated Fagioli from Marseille and RB Leipzig, as well as two of Juventus’ Serie A title challengers Atalanta and league leaders Napoli.
It has been quite the fall from grace for Fagiolo; From Serie A’s Young Player of the Year in 2023 to out of favour and up for sale around 18 months later.
So much so that a departure which seemed unthinkable not so long ago is now anything but.

Juventus urged to sell Nicolo Fagioli amid Tottenham and Aston Villa interest
“If the right amount were to arrive, I would honestly sell him,” former Bianconeri right-back Sergio Porrini tells Tutto Juve.
“In this Juve there is no star. So, everyone is important and no one is indispensable.”
Fagioli has not started in any of Juventus’ last five Serie A matches. He has fallen behind Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz and Weston McKennie in Thiago Motta’s pecking order.
The level of interest from at home and abroad proves that Fagioli is still a footballer very highly regarded in footballing circles, at least, with offers unlikely to be in short supply heading into 2025.
TBR understands that a loan deal, with an option to make it permanent in the summer, is most likely should Fagioli leave the Allianz Stadium during the January transfer window.
Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Luigi Garlando, meanwhile, sheds some light into how Fagioli’s once-glittering Juventus reputation has fallen so dramatically off the rails.
He highlights some poor recent cameos, not to mention the seven-month ban he copped for breaking betting regulations just as he was building on that breakout season.
Fagioli’s Serie A performances have been very disappointing
“You have to rebuild your reputation and credibility, and you cannot allow yourself to enter [the pitch] with arrogance, missing decisive passes like the one that happened in the match against Milan,” Garlando says, Fagioli nearly setting up the Rossoneri’s winner in an eventual 0-0 draw.
“He entered the field in a terrible way, and this is unacceptable. Therefore I believe that there would be a plausible reason [for Juventus to sell].”
Manchester City’s interest in the talented ball-player could be with Rodri’s potentially season-ending injury in mind. Pep Guardiola’s team have been linked with Martin Zubimendi too, a teammate of Rodri’s in Spain’s European Championship winning side.
Tottenham have looked at another Serie A playmaker in the shape of AC Milan talisman Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutchman, one of the most in-form midfielders in Europe at present, looks set to stay at the San Siro, however.
Reijnders wants a new deal at AC Milan, and TBR understands he will get one too.
