The 17-year-old will join Crystal Palace officially at the start of the January transfer window.
Crystal Palace looked to have secured their first signing of the winter transfer window, with reports suggesting they have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old striker Rylan Brownlie.
The Australian attacker was due to leave Brisbane Roar, and it is claimed Palace swooped in and offerered him a deal. Brownlie is tipped as a high-potential teenage sensation in Australia, after impressive performances in the A-League.
According to Football Insider, has had a training stint at Crystal Palace and has impressed enough for the Eagles to offer him a contract. He came through the academy at Brisbane before getting his first professional contract in 2023.
He made 12 appearances in the A-League last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist as he began to make more appearances from the substitutes bench for the Australian side. He will now join Palace and likely get game time in the youth teams before looking to develop into a first-team star.
Crystal Palace in need of an attacking boost
The Eagles have had a poor start to the season under Oliver Glasner - they currently sit 17th in the Premier League table and find themselves in a somewhat unexpected relegation battle. They have scored just 12 goals this season, which is the second-fewest in the league ahead of just Southampton.
If Palace were to lose the England international, then signing young talent such as Brownlie could prove invaluable to them as a sustainable way of keeping attacking quality in the squad whilst also making a big profit on their stars such as Eze.
