Benjamin Sesko: Alexander Isak alternative

Arsenal has currently failed to sign a striker in this summer. To improve the attacking line as an alternative for Alexander Isak, they have found an alternative as Benjamin Sesko.

ALEXANDER ISAK IS THE GAMBLE?

Arsenal have been into the interest of Alexander Isak for quite a long time. The Swedish already had an incredible start of the season.

The Swedish has scored 40 goals in 79 games for the Magpies. His scouting has been going on since his Real Sociedad days.

Even their rivals Chelsea has taken an interest upon Isak. They came up for a deal for him last summer. But, couldn’t meet Newcastle’s price demand.

Till now, Isak’s contract at St James’ Park extends till 2028. So, apparently any huge offer can seal the deal.

Although, Arsenal have backup. Alexander Isak’s alternatives include Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig and also Sporting’s star Viktor Gyokeres.

As we can see, Isak is probably the primary objective of the Gunners. Arteta’s tactics can really bring light to the squad if he can welcome him.

He has been appearing to be in a issue in the collision with Tyrick Mitchell which caused him a minor injury. He was then replaced by Harvey Barnes. Since joining Newcastle, he has suffered a few injuries. It can be a concern for Isak in the later stages.

BENJAMIN SESKO IS THE BACKUP PLAN?

The difficulty of getting the Newcastle star is starting to become a hassle for the Gunners. Many teams including Manchester United and rivals Chelsea, have joined the race for the Slovenian.

The first season at the Bundesliga was a solid start for Sesko. There has been Premier League interests since the start. However, the youngster continued to sign a new contract at the German team for his more development.

At one place Isak with a required almost £115 million, Arsenal can actually get an uprising talent with a much more cheaper price.

It will all be worth it, considering Sesko’s guarantee in the starting XI. He has already scored three goals with the Slovenia national team and for the club this season.

His clause of £55 million at Leipzig last summer is tempting Arsenal. A cheap deal in the current market casn be quite lucky for them.

Though, the young lad has chosen to stay at Germany for the time being. With Leipzig sitting at the third place, it can be considered a solid decision taken by him to stay over.

Sesko is considering his own development from the base at this present moment.

Right now, he doesn’t want tough competition like the Premier League. This could overall hamper his rising skills.

Jacobs has stated that Arsenal will wait to see if Sesko can be signed. If this one does not work out, they must go to Isak despite the high price.

AUTHOR’S OPINION

Personally, it will quite be interesting to see Arsenal try to get Isak. One of the most demanded strikers in the Premier League can quite be a deal-breaker.

Sesko’s performance might impress the Gunners, but I am sure they are not going to just start him in the starting XI. They still choose Havertz over him.

However, the gamble they are gonna take on Isak is interesting. Now, that they and their rivals Chelsea have made a new tournament of how many players you can sign, it can be said that this player is on their radar.

I would like to add one more thing: Sesko can be a potential future aspect of Arsenal. The more developed he is, the more mature he will be to compete in the Premier League campaigns.

Comment down your thoughts on Benjamin Sesko as an alternative for Alexander Isak.
