Manchester City have found out who they’ll be facing in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
City’s inclusion in this new-look version of the competition was confirmed when they won the Champions League back in 2023.
Once the 2024/25 season concludes, the tournament will begin on June 15, 2025, with the final set to take place on July 13.
Back to the present, Pep Guardiola’s side now know which three clubs they’ll be taking on in the group stage of the competition.

Man City’s Club World Cup group confirmed
Following the draw that took place in Miami, City were put in the first spot of Group G.
Alongside the Manchester club, Juventus were the second team drawn from Pot 2, who were then put in the fourth spot of the group, meaning that they will play against the Blues in the final group stage fixture.

The third side drawn alongside City and Juventus from Pot 3 were Moroccan club Wydad AC, who were selected for the second spot in the group, making them the first side the English champions will play against.
Finally, from pot four, Abu Dhabi club Al Ain were the final side to be drawn into City’s group, giving them the third spot in the quartet of clubs.
Ruben Dias spoke out about ‘craziest’ season ahead of the Club World Cup
Despite still having to see out the rest of the 2024/25 season before the Club World Cup kicks off, Ruben Dias spoke out about City’s busy fixture schedule, saying this on the matter and the summer tournament the Manchester club will now face off against
He said: “To perform better, it is necessary to ensure that athletes are safe, but few care about the athletes, but rather the financial aspect and profit.
“This season especially will be the craziest yet, with the Club World Cup at the end of the season.
“We have to think about the players if we want to put on a good show, giving ourselves enough time to recharge our batteries and put on the best show.”

With the Blues now knowing who they’ll be coming up against in the group stage, Guardiola, his coaching staff and the players in his squad can now begin their early preparations while getting through the rest of the 2024/25 domestic season.
As Juventus are the most familiar opponent, the Citizens will be coming up against former City defender Danilo, whilst also having to deal with the Italian club’s star striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
