Our first match in the new tournament, set to take place across the United States of America between 15 June and 13 July 2025, will see us go up against Moroccan side Wydad AC.
We will then face United Arab Emirates based Al Ain FC before completing our group stage against Italian giants Juventus.
City qualified for the inaugural edition of the Club World Cup thanks to our historic 2023 Champions League success and discovered our opponents at a star-studded event in Miami on Thursday evening.

We will be one of 32 teams from all corners of the globe, including 12 European sides, fighting to lift the trophy for the first time.
The competition exists separately from the previous edition of the Club World Cup which City won in Saudi Arabia in December 2023, with that annual tournament now renamed the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Held every four years, the Club World Cup will follow the format of recent international World Cups, with the top two from each group progressing to the round of 16 where single-leg ties will be played all the way to the final.
To progress through to the knockout stages, we will have to overcome three formidable opponents.
Wydad AC are the most successful club in Morocco’s history and won the most recent of their three CAF Champions Leagues in 2022.
Abu Dhabi based Al Ain FC are the reigning AFC Champions League winners after defeating Yokohama F. Marinos in May.
Juventus, our next opponents in the Champions League, will also be the last side we face in Group G next summer. We have played the 36-time Serie A champions on six occasions before, winning once back in 1976.
Exact fixture dates and locations will be confirmed in due course and communicated on mancity.com and our official app.
