Manchester City will take on Juventus in the Club World Cup group stage next summer, while Chelsea are set for a David Luiz reunion as they face Flamengo.
FIFA have revamped the tournament, expanding the number of teams from seven to 32 and turning it into a month-long summer tournament every four years - starting in 2025 in the United States across June and July.
The participating teams come from the six confederations - UEFA, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, CAF, AFC and OFC - with City and Chelsea the two teams from England involved.
City face fellow European giants Juve in Group G. along with Wydad AC of Morocco and Abu Dhabi side Al Ain. Chelsea have a kinder draw, as they take on Mexican side Club Leon, Tunisian outfit Esperance de Tunis and Brazilian giants Flamengo in Group D.
Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami will kick off the tournament on June 15 against Al Ahly, while Neymar’s Al Hilal will later take on Real Madrid. The final is on July 13, 2025.
