Chelsea have certainly become an extremely entertaining watch so far under Enzo Maresca.
First and foremost, Chelsea are winning more games and enjoying a lot more success since the change in the manager’s dugout during the summer.
So far this season, the Blues have 14 wins, four draws and four losses in 22 games across all competitions. Their form in the Premier League has helped them climb up to second in the division table.
Enzo Maresca has created a free-scoring team that’s proving they can rip many defences apart, including during Wednesday night’s 5-1 away victory at Southampton.
Maresca has encouraged Chelsea’s players to flood the box, which is certainly paying off because they look such an offensive threat.

Chelsea on track to beat attacking record

Remarkably, they’ve netted 57 times in their 22 games across all competitions this term.

There’s a long way to go still for Chelsea this campaign in order to set a new club record, but it highlights just how attacking they’ve been under Maresca. In particular, they’ve scored goals for fun in Europe’s Conference League tournament.

Premier League 14 31
Conference League 4 18
Conference League qualifiers 2 3
Carabao Cup 2 5

Maresca previously joked nobody defends in his attacking team. Of course, there’s a solid foundation at the back allowing the many talented attackers to go forward and express themselves.
What is Chelsea’s best front four right now?
It’s certainly a tough job for Maresca naming his starting XI each game because the competition in the Chelsea squad is tough, particularly in the forward areas.
The Blues usually operate in a 4-2-3-1 system this campaign, so who starts in the club’s best front four?
There’s no argument that Nicolas Jackson is the outstanding at the club right now, while Cole Palmer is the No.10. However, it’s not so straightforward on the wings.
It’s tough picking just two from the likes of Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk to start out wide. They’ve each shown brilliant moments throughout the season so far.
If there was a must-win game tomorrow, Sancho on the left and Neto on the right would make the strongest partnership. They’ve both been super positive since joining the Blues in the summer. In fact, Simon Jordan thinks Neto has been a “brilliant” Chelsea signing.
