On-loan Barcelona star Vitor Roque has on Thursday spoken out on both his future, and the prospect of facing off against the Blaugrana this weekend.
Frontman Roque is of course primed to lock horns with his parent club in two days’ time.
After bringing to a close his tumultuous short-lived stint with Barcelona during the summer, the Brazilian international put pen to paper on terms with fellow La Liga outfit Real Betis.
Roque has joined the Verdiblancos on loan, with an option to buy.
This of course means that the 19-year-old’s time on Barca’s books has not yet come to a definitive end.
Speaking during an interview with **[ESPN](https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/42773787/barcelona-vitor-roque-considered-giving-real-betis-loan)** on Thursday, the subject of his future was, in turn, put to Roque himself once more.
And the youngster went on to explain:
“Step by step. My biggest aim is to have an excellent season here at Betis, help the team as much as I can with goals, assists, fighting for every ball. And God willing, I can also make the national team, which is one of my biggest dreams.
“Only God knows what will happen in the future.”
Turning attentions towards Saturday’s fast-approaching meeting with Barcelona, Roque added:
“It’s a team that has proven to be one of the best in the world, both in the Champions League and La Liga. It will certainly be a special match.”
