Ange Postecoglou reported that it 'looks like a hamstring' after **[Ben Davies](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/teams/men/players/ben-davies/)** was forced off after an hour of **[our 1-0 loss at Bournemouth on Thursday evening.](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2024/december/bournemouth-v-spurs-match-report-december-2024/)**
The centre-back lined-up for his fourth successive start and fifth in six in the absence of Cuti Romero and Micky van de Ven but 62 minutes into a testing night at the Vitality, the Wales international sat down on the halfway line holding the back of his left leg. He was stretched by our medical team but could take no further part and trudged back down the tunnel.
Archie Gray - his first start in the Premier League - took over from Ben, partnering Radu Dragusin in central defence for the final half-hour as we came under increasing pressure. In the end, Dean Huijsen's header from Marcus Tavernier's corner on 17 minutes proved enough.
Speaking to our Review Show, Ange told us: "It looks like a hamstring. Obviously, he's played a lot of football recently. We'll have to see how he is."
Asked later about Ben in his press conference, Ange responded: "It looks like he's done his hamstring. Him and Radu have played every game. It's the one position we can't rotate. He'll obviously be out for a period of time now, we'll just have to wait and see how long it is."
It's another blow to Ange with Cuti, Micky, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Mikey Moore all out, plus Rodrigo Bentancur serving a suspension.
