Welcome to your quick recap.
Manchester City are leaving this week with a pretty great win and some real relief after a month of tough matches, stretches and losses. The match highlighted by the best practices of Pep Guardiola who made some good calls and saw some good play return. KDB especially showed out here.
A match that had a similar feel to most City matches, yet resulted in some better play for the team as the intensity was present early. It was a bit disjointed at points, but it was a ultimately a relief for the win to arrive here at home.
One where City was in control with possession and chances created . They played a very tight match and are now sitting in a better spot than before and can only get better.
City had so many players who played well this time and that includes some lineup choices that were forced by injury & sickness.
Two players of note who did play well and were lively were Jack Grealish, and Jeremy Doku who showed up well despite the loss.
The story of the night is that City get a great win and we can move on to hopefully better times after that rough stretch.
A seemingly expected result and we move.
