Arsenal transfer news: Three stars put up for sale as Jorginho issues exit demand

Jorginho has sent a message to his Arsenal teammates

Arsenal have been handed a lifeline in the title race - which could alter their thinking for January.

The Gunners beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday. With Liverpool being held by Newcastle, it sees the gap at the top of the table cut to seven points.

Arsenal will be aiming to cut that gap even further over what is expected to be a tricky festive period. And January could be a big opportunity for the Gunners to add to their squad.

A host of players have been linked with moves to the Emirates over the coming months, while some current stars could bid a fond farewell. Take a look at all of the latest rumours here:

Arteta puts up three for sale

Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell three stars as Mikel Arteta attempts to trim down his squad. According to Mail Online, the Gunners would be willing to listen to offers for Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Nuno Tavares.

Vieira is currently in the middle of a loan spell with former club Porto so a sale would likely have to wait until the end of the season. Portuguese defender Tavares is also in the midst of a temporary stint with Lazio - albeit there is an obligation to buy come the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Brazil winger Marquinhos has only made one league appearances for the club since joining from Sao Paulo and could also be sold. He too is currently in the middle of a loan spell with Fluminense after prior stints with Norwich and Nantes.

Jorginho sends message

Arsenal star Jorginho has told his teammates that anyone that doesn’t trust Arteta should leave the club. Asked what occurs when that trust is lost, the Italian midfielder said : "It's tough. You need to find somewhere else.

"I think even [in] yourself, that's how you can get the best out of you. Because if you don't have that feeling, if you feel so uncomfortable, if you feel you can't do things - that feeling - it's not going to work out for you, I don't believe. That's why I use a lot this word [trust], I think it's an important thing."

Jorginho, 32, has less than a year remaining on his own Arsenal deal. He has made just six Premier League appearances this term.

Gunners eye Spanish wonderkid

While a host of stars could be on their way out, Arsenal are reportedly eyeing Alberto Moleiro as a potential recruit. That is according to Fichajes, who reveal that the Gunners are set to go head-to-head with Al-Hilal for the services of the Las Palmas starlet.

It is suggested that they would demand around €20m (£16.5m) for the youngster. Moleiro is apparently seen as a potential successor to Martin Odegaard.

The attacking midfielder has made 15 appearances for Las Palmas so far this season. He has four goals to his name.
