PSG hand Chelsea massive transfer boost in chase for£85 million star

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pulled out of the transfer race to sign Sporting CP sensation Viktor Gyokeres, which will have given a boost to the likes of CHELSEA

Gyokeres has once again been in tremendous form for Sporting Lisbon this season and already has 23 goals to his name, with four of those coming in the Champions League against Defending champions Manchester City.

He has been heavily tipped with a move to the Premier League, with many believing that he could follow Ruben Amorim to Man United, while it has been claimed that Arsenal are very much interested as they seek to add a 30 goals a season striker to their attack.

We should no doubt be very pleased with the output of their two strikers so far this season. Nicolas Jackson found the net again in superb fashion against Leicester City at the weekend.

However, according to recent reports on Record Portugal, the club are prepared to pay up to £85m for the striker in January, and they go on to say that the idea would be for him to not actually join up with the squad until the end of the season.

Now the club have been handed a transfer boost, as Per Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly pulled out of the transfer race to sign Sporting CP sensation Viktor Gyokeres.

The report says that the Ligue 1 champions were at one point keen on signing the striker and their sporting director Luis Campos reportedly contacted the player’s representatives to get ahead in the title race.

However, once Campos came back to Paris and got in touch with manager Luis Enrique, the Spanish coach rejected the idea of signing the striker.
