Leicester City kicked off the Ruud van Nistelrooy era with a win on Tuesday evening.
Leicester defeated West Ham 3-1 at the King Power Stadium and moved four points clear of the bottom three.
It could hardly have gone better for van Nistelrooy in his first game in charge, as Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka all got on the score sheet.
Interestingly, van Nistelrooy tried to sign Daka at PSV, so clearly, he could become a player who bursts into life under his stewardship.
With that said, an EFL owner has now suggested that Leicester’s Premier League rivals should be fearful of the van Nistelrooy’s appointment, claiming The Foxes could become a different animal over the coming weeks.

EFL owner says Ruud van Nistelrooy’s appointment is bad news for Leicester’s rivals
Speaking on The Hard Truth podcast, Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony explained why Leicester’s rivals should be worried about the van Nistelrooy appointment.
“Did well in Holland when he was manager on difficult circumstances, some trophies, was a very good assistant coach at United,” MacAnthony said.
“Nice little six-game stint in charge. Yeah, I think for those clubs in a relegation battle with Leicester, that’s not good news, because I think he will be good.

“I think he’d be very good for Leicester, depending if they can get him a few tools to help in January. So that’s really what’s going to separate the men from the boys down there.”
“Who’s going to get the help? Are any of those clubs going to get their manager’s help? Are they going to change their managers?
“Leicester now have gone ahead and pulled the trigger and changed theirs. So yeah, I think Leicester will be a different animal come January time.”
Leicester must build on momentum vs Brighton
Van Nistelrooy has the chance to make it two wins in a row by beating Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.
The Foxes will play host once again so they’ll be confident of producing another positive result, especially with Harry Winks due to return from injury.
Winks will be vital in gaining more control of the midfield – which was a slight issue at times against West Ham.
So, it could be a completely different picture for Leicester come the end of the week, with the chance to move seven points clear of the relegation zone.
