Jarrad Branthwaite is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the January transfer window.
Everton face a challenge to keep hold of Jarrad Branthwaite after his impressive displays in the blue shirt.
One thing that’s hampered the defender has been injuries, with just five starts to his name all season.
However, Everton will only offer Branthwaite a new deal on one condition. That condition is that he actually shows a want to sign the new deal.
Liverpool and Manchester United are two of the interested parties, and it’s been claimed that his name was even used in talks with Ruben Amorim.
What Ruben Amorim told Manchester United about Jarrad Branthwaite when he took charge
Ruben Amorim managed to get the best of Jarrad Branthwaite and Everton in his first Premier League game, as the Red Devils secured a 4-0 win.
Branthwaite had a day to forget, helping gift Manchester United their second goal and directing the ball into the back of the net for the first.
This led to Manchester United fans even turning their back on a transfer for Branthwaite.

According to Give Me Sport, Ruben Amorim was asked about Jarrad Branthwaite in talks to take the Manchester United job, and he gave the green light.
It’s reported that it was brought up in talks when they were replacing Erik ten Hag. Amorim knew at that stage he would be implementing his back-three tactics and told them recruitment plans could be maintained in terms of tracking Branthwaite.
Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of Jarrad Branthwaite
Carlo Ancelotti gave Jarrad Branthwaite his debut at Everton, and he’s registered an interest in bringing the central defender to Real Madrid.
He made some comments when he travelled to face Liverpool, and it some perceived it as Ancelotti keeping an eye on Branthwaite in his spare time.
“Of course, I follow Everton. I follow the club, I follow the results. Call me tomorrow after the game and I will talk to you about this.”
Branthwaite is enjoying his time at Everton and owes a lot to the club, so perhaps a new stadium and new owners will be enough to persuade him to stay.
