Nasser Al-Khelaifi at PSG vs Dortmund in 2024
Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been asked about Paris Saint-Germain's interest in Mohamed Salah
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says he has "big respect" for Mohamed Salah, but insisted the French club have made no approach for the Liverpool star.
Salah's Liverpool contract expires in June, and he recently suggested he is "more out than in" when it comes to staying at Anfield. PSG have been linked in the past, while Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad saw a 2023 approach knocked back, but the Egypt international may yet stay in England.
Despite the uncertainty around his future, Salah has been a key player for the Reds as they thrive domestically and in Europe. His 11 goals ensure Arne Slot's team sit top of the Premier League by seven points, while he has featured in all five Champions League matches as Slot's men boast the only 100 percent record in the competition.
Al-Khelaifi was asked about a potential move for Salah while in Florida for the Club World Cup draw. He was glowing in his comments about the Liverpool man, but insisted a move was not forthcoming.

"I love Salah, also because he came from our part of the world," PSG's Qatari president said. "I am very proud of him, honestly, for what he's done in the Premier League with Liverpool.
"And I have big respect for him and for Liverpool. So we never talked to him. Respect Liverpool and respect the player - he has a contract with Liverpool and we never talked to him."
While Liverpool and Salah didn't make it into the expanded Club World Cup, PSG are there by virtue of their four-year UEFA ranking. They have been drawn in a group with Atletico Madrid, Botafogo and Seattle Sounders, with the group stages beginning in June.

Salah has top-scored for Liverpool despite uncertainty over his future
Liverpool's number 11 isn't the only Reds star out of contract in 2025. England international right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and club captain Virgil van Dijk also face uncertain futures, with many waiting to learn whether they will extend their stays.
Salah scored two goals and delivered an assist in the team's most recent match, away at Newcastle. It wasn't enough for victory at St James' Park, where Fabian Schar scored a late equaliser, but manager Slot was full of praise for his star man.
"After the week we had we could change the game which is a very positive thing to take," the former Feyenoord boss told Amazon Prime. "Every time we need Mo Salah he scores a goal.
"We are hoping and expecting he can continue this for a long time. He was outstanding in the second half, he did many special things for us."
