Evangelos Marinakis makes exciting Nottingham Forest prediction

Evangelos Marinakis has always been clear on his dreams at Nottingham Forest.

A loss to Manchester City last time out has put a bit of pressure on Nottingham Forest to hold on to their European position, with a tough run of fixtures still to come.

With Fulham winning last night, it’s made things a lot closer with 13th to sixth only being separated by three points, so it’s anyone’s game right now.

Next up is Manchester United and Aston Villa, two sides who are in and around Forest, so they have that added importance when it comes to the race for Europe.

Despite the dip in form slightly, Evangelos Marinakis has made a prediction about Nottingham Forest that will be music to the ears.

Marinakis has openly spoken about his dream of taking Forest back into Europe, and right now is the closest the Reds have been to achieving it.

He’s that serious about it that he’s already committed to investing in January to make it happen.

Marinakis spoke very openly and honestly in his interview with Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports recently.

He stated that Forest’s current position isn’t a one off, and that he sees them being in and around the top six for seasons to come too.

“Yes, I think that is realistic. And it’s up to us at the end of the day. I think it’s very important to take responsibility. So I take responsibility in the bad times; in the good times we can share this responsibility.

“It’s something pleasant to share responsibilities during good times and victories, but in the difficult times you need to take responsibility, correct your mistakes and act accordingly so you can recover and fight back and come back and win.”

Manchester United up next in the Premier League

Paul Merson has already provided his prediction for the Manchester United clash this weekend.

“Forest may have lost to Manchester City the other day, but I think they will cause problems at Old Trafford. They are good down the wings and this could hurt Manchester United. I’m going for a draw here.”

Manchester United have been rather inconsistent under Ruben Amorim so far this season, so there’s definitely an opportunity here for Forest to capitalise.

However, Nuno will need to adopt more of a high press as last time out against Manchester City the Reds just sat back and invited pressure.
