In an encouraging update for Real Madrid, Arancha Rodriguez has confirmed that two key players, Vinicius Jr. and David Alaba, took part in the first part of the team’s training session today.
Both players have been recovering from injuries, and their participation marks a significant step forward in their returns to full fitness.
Vinicius, who suffered a hamstring injury recently, has been progressing much faster than initially expected. When the injury occurred, it was thought that the 24-year-old Brazilian winger would be sidelined for several weeks.
The original target for his return was the final of the newly introduced Intercontinental Cup, scheduled for December 18. However, Vinicius has surprised many with the speed of his recovery.
He is now hoping to make his return to the pitch sooner than planned, eyeing either Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Atalanta on December 10 or their La Liga fixture against Rayo Vallecano on December 14.
What about Alaba?

Meanwhile, Alaba’s situation is also improving. Today marks the first time in 355 days that the Austrian defender has trained with the team.
This is a huge step forward in his recovery, though it is unlikely that he will return to competitive action immediately.
The club is taking a cautious approach with Alaba, and while his integration back into the team is expected to take some time, he could potentially be available to play by January.
This recovery is particularly crucial for Real Madrid, as their defensive line has been struggling with injuries over the past months.
Alaba, who will turn 33 in June, is in the final year of his contract with the club. Real Madrid plans to assess his performance during the second half of the season before making any decisions regarding his future.
