Sky Sports: Arsenal duo not seen in training with first-team this morning as fresh update…

Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori and Brazil international centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes were not spotted with the rest of their Arsenal teammates on the training ground this morning, according to Sky Sports.

The injured duo were not involved in action when the Gunners faced Manchester United on Wednesday night and were not named in the matchday squad.

They are both training indoors and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will hope they will be available for selection to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Jakub Kiwior played alongside William Saliba at centre-back against the Red Devils, while Oleksandr Zinchenko lined up at left-back, and they could retain their places against Fulham.

Despite their huge quality and importance to the team, Arsenal did not miss Calafiori and Gabriel too much on Wednesday and should be fine without them at Craven Cottage.

However, Arteta and the fans would prefer their return, and they are now in a race to prove their fitness for such a huge game.

The Brazilian took to social media to share pictures of himself at Emirates Stadium after the Man United game, and he was in high spirits following the 2-0 win.

Injuries have slowed Arsenal down at times this term, resulting in dropped points in six Premier League games, and they cannot afford to be without their key players ahead of the remaining 24 games.

The Gunners could be forced to make a few additions to their squad when the transfer window reopens next month, and they really could do with bolstering their squad depth to challenge strongly across all competitions during the second half of 2024-25.
