Chelsea thrashed Southampton 5-1 away from home in midweek, but there’s only room for one Blues star in the Premier League’s Team of the Week.
Chelsea recorded an eye-catching victory at St Mary’s on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
The Blues moved up to second in the league table after collecting three points on the road against Southampton. Incidentally, there were five different goalscorers for the visitors as they flexed their attacking muscles.
Chelsea supporters were chanting for Enzo Maresca during the Saints victory, which is recognition for a superb few months he’s enjoyed as the club’s head coach.

Nkunku was making only his second league start of the season on Wednesday evening because he’s been stuck behind Nicolas Jackson in the pecking order. However, he reminded everyone of his extraordinary individual talent.
In 21 appearances across all competitions this season, Nkunku has scored 12 goals in return.
MORE CHELSEA STORIES
Peter Crouch thinks Chelsea’s Nkunku is a “fantastic” player who’s unfortunate not to be playing more in the Premier League.
The versatile French attacker can’t get ahead of Jackson for the No.9 position, while Cole Palmer has the No.10 spot firmly cemented.
Christopher Nkunku the best non-starter in the Premier League
When you look across the entire Premier League, it’s hard to spot a bigger talent than Chelsea’s Nkunku watching from the sidelines the majority of the time.
The forward is still getting a decent amount of minutes this campaign, whether that’s starts in cup games or cameo appearance off the bench in the league. However, someone with his quality would be an automatic starter for the majority of sides in Europe.
Chelsea have no plans to sell Nkunku in January, but how long can they keep him satisfied when he’s not in the best XI?
Despite scoring and assisting in the Southampton match, it would be a surprise if he keeps his place ahead of Jackson this Sunday for the league trip to Tottenham.
