Starting at Brentford this weekend, where any form of positive result will be celebrated as much as the draw with the league leaders when you consider just how impressive Thomas Frank's side have been at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Bees have the best home record in the division having dropped just two points so far, winning six of their seven games.
[Newcastle](https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/newcastleunited/), on the other hand, are winless since the international break, though Eddie Howe's side were back to their best against Liverpool.
The focus since full-time on Wednesday night has been on carrying that form into today's game and beyond.
"Always it’s attitude," said Howe.
"Attitude is everything to any team. Against Liverpool you saw the correct attitude and mental preparation from the players.
"When we entered the pitch I had no doubt during the early exchanges of the game that we were in a good place. Really good energy, bite in midfield, desire to win the ball, really good in duels and gradually, when you’re good in those small areas, your bigger performance looks different.
"Athletically we looked really good, the running speed of our front players, the battling qualities of our midfield, against a top, especially in the first half, I thought we won that battle in there."

Newcastle have drawn with Liverpool and Manchester City and beaten Arsenal yet lost to the likes of West Ham, Fulham and Brighton.
"That’s been in our make-up for a while and it is a frustration because we know what we are capable of," said Howe.
"The missing ingredient is to deliver that whoever and wherever you’re playing. We had that in our Champions League season and that’s why we were able to achieve what we did that year.
"Regardless of the opposition, it didn’t really matter, you saw the same Newcastle week in and week out.
"It’s not for the want of trying. I can tell you the players are committed to delivering that."
Is motivation an issue when the Magpies aren't facing the biggest and best sides?
“I don’t think it is clear as motivation," said Howe.
"I think that would be, and I understand the question, an easy thing to say.
"I think the dynamic and challenge of those games are very different, we haven’t adjusted well enough to those. It’s certainly not a case of the players not being motivated for the game, you can make that suggestion afterwards but internally there is a lot more to the dynamic than that.
"The players want to do well, want to achieve and win - they are committed to doing that, I see that in their training and the preparation. The delivery sometimes hasn’t been right and we’ll try and find ways to improve that. But I have to make it clear, it’s certainly not through a lack of motivation or lack of desire."
Newcastle haven't been helped this season by the inconsistency of their star players. The challenge for the likes of Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak - who both scored against Liverpool - is to deliver week in, week out.
“Yes, that is what we all want. That is what they want," said Howe.
"We want to see those players expressing themselves freely and to play at their best. During the season you’re always going to have ups and downs, there are going to be good spells and bad spells.
"It goes with the territory, when you’re performing well in the Premier League you're going to be talked about positively and you’re going to be talked about negatively \[if you’re not performing\].
"Dealing with that, taking some stuff in, taking the majority away from your head is key. Ultimately, if you’re enjoying your football that is when they are at their best levels."
