Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update ahead of the Premier League derby against Fulham on the road on Sunday.
The Gunners have been in superb form since the international break with four wins. Three of those have come in the top-flight including a 2-0 triumph over Manchester United in midweek,
Arsenal travel to Craven Cottage for the weekend encounter and ahead of the game, Arteta was coy when asked about an update on the team.
He told reporters (via football.london): “We have a few. It’s matchday minus 2 so we have to modify a few players. Till tomorrow’s training session it’s very difficult to say.”
Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori were absent for the victory over United with minor injuries, but Arteta hinted after the game that they could return on Sunday.
Arsenal had an open training session earlier today where the duo were absent. It was reported that the pair were training indoors away from the rest of the squad.
The Gunners have another training session tomorrow and in our opinion, Gabriel and Calafiori are likely to make the matchday squad to face the Cottagers this weekend.
Arsenal suffered a 2-1 loss to Marco Silva’s side on the road in December last year and they will be aiming to make amends with a strong performance with three points.
