Liverpool remain without a string of players, with Ibrahima Konate, Alisson Becker, Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, Conor Bradley and Kostas Tsimikas all out.
The Reds make the very short journey to take on Everton on Saturday lunchtime in what will be the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
Arne Slot’s side are in fine form, sitting top of the Premier League table, while the Toffees are down in 15th but will be feeling good after a 4-0 win over Wolves last time out.
The Liverpool boss has confirmed that his injured players remain out, but some are closer to a return than others.
Jota, Chiesa and Alisson are not ready for this weekend, but are nearing a return to action, while Konate, Bradley and Tsimikas are further away.
The exact timeframes for the return of the injured players is unclear, although Alisson was said to be ‘ready very soon’ by the Dutchman.
Slot will also be without Alexis MacAllister as he is suspended after five yellow cards, so Liverpool’s squad is really being tested during this busy time of the season.

Slot is relishing the prospect of the Goodison Park send-off, but is expecting a tough test against a team that can be difficult to score against.
‘I think it is going to be special for everyone involved, the fans, players, managers,’ he said. ‘To be involved in this game is special and the last one at Goodison is even more. Only nice when you have the result though so that is what we’re focusing on.
‘I never speak about points before a game, especially a team like Everton in recent games, three clean sheets, very good win at Wolves.
‘We have to be ready for a tough game, well managed side and the fans will be just as loud as Newcastle, maybe even louder. We have to be prepared.’
