Hansi Flick confirms key attacking duo will start in Barcelona vs Real Betis

FC Barcelona are currently preparing for their upcoming clash against Real Betis in La Liga. After an unfortunate series of games where the Catalan giants dropped points, they can no longer afford to lose their concentration. That is why Barcelona and Hansi Flick will do whatever it takes to win at the Benito Villamarin.

However, in recent games, there has been a lot of talk about the rotational changes that the German coach has made. Even in the previous thrashing of RCD Mallorca, Hansi Flick decided to bench Robert Lewandowski for the entirety of the game.

Despite the fact that the Polish ace was the team’s top scorer, Flick decided it to be in the player’s best interest to rest and recover some energy. Ultimately, it ended up working out for Barcelona as La Blaugrana emerged victorious from that La Liga outing.

Now, however, Flick has revealed in his latest press conference that he has no intention of benching Lewandowski again for the clash against Betis, and neither is he willing to give rest to Raphinha, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo:

“We need Raphinha in every game. He’s a key player. If he can play 90 minutes, even better. But he’ll play as much as he can. He’ll start tomorrow, as will Lewandowski.”

Two of the most important players for La Blaugrana this season, Raphinha and Lewandowski have been among Europe’s best performers this season. Their goal contributions alone have had a great impact on Barça’s form so far, and their contributions beyond that are just as impactful.
