Despite Julen Lopetegui still being West Ham United manager, the stories around his potential replacement are only growing.
Multiple names have been linked and there’s reportedly already been refusals, although how much truth is in that isn’t clear.
Some interesting claims now come from [Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a9077959966009577843-galtier-allegri-et-sarri-proposes-a-west-ham). The well connected French source claims three managers have been offered to West Ham, presumably by an intermediary.
Those managers are named as Christophe Galtier , Maurizio Sarri and Massimiliano Allegri. The latter two are out of work and have presumably been fishing around for opportunities, indeed Sarri himself has said he’d be prepared to take a job midway through this season.
Galtier is currently in Qatar with Al-Duhail and presumably fancies a return to European football.
However, as Foot Mercato have it, whilst the options haven’t been ruled out, West Ham aren’t jumping at any of the three.
According to the report, Tim Steidten would like to take on a German coach. However, the Hammers board would prefer an Englishman.
There’s going to have to be compromise somewhere should Lopetegui leave.
