Big changes are on the horizon for Everton as they look to create a new chapter in the club’s history.
Without looking too far ahead, there is also a huge game coming up for Sean Dyche and his side on Saturday when Liverpool make the short trip to Goodison Park.
The game on the weekend is going to mark the final-ever Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park with Everton moving into their new stadium over the summer.
However, Storm Darragh is putting the Merseyside Derby under threat with some serious weather hitting the north west.
It has been somewhat of a stormy season for Everton so far with the Toffees sitting narrowly above the drop zone.
But The Friedkin Group’s nearing Everton takeover is not the only thing there is to look forward to on Merseyside.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game, Jamie Carragher has told The Telegraph that he is really excited for Everton’s new stadium opening.
“Massive. I’m a red but I’m absolutely buzzing to see it and can’t wait to watch games there when it’s complete for the start of next season,” he said.
“Goodison will always have a place in the heart of fans and every player who played there, but I’m delighted for Everton and the city because it’s going to be an iconic landmark by the River Mersey.
“It can only help the club financially as, having to stay at Goodison and being unable to expand and get the same match-day revenues as other Premier League clubs, has held them back for a long time.”
There is some respect across the rivalry with Arne Slot praising Everton’s set-piece threat ahead of the game on Saturday.
But there is clearly a lot more than football at stake with the construction of Everton’s new stadium, as Carragher highlights.
New Everton Stadium has flooded in Storm Darragh
Everton fans have been shocked by the size of their new stadium with the concourse, specifically, a really impressive feat.
However, there have also been several things which have not been as positive with some Everton fans concerned about the walk to the pitch from the players’ dressing room.
And even more recently, the early stages of Storm Darragh have already taken their effect on the new ground with the drainage system not yet installed on the roof.
Although there’s a big focus on the new stadium, Everton fans will be hoping to see the players take something from their final Merseyside Derby at Goodison
