West Ham United are looking to strike a deal with Chelsea in the January transfer window for Tosin Adarabioyo.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that West Ham will move for the former Fulham man once the January transfer window opens.
They say that the Hammers are determined to strengthen their defensive options in the next window and Adarabioyo is on their radar.
He joined Chelsea on a free in the summer and has made 11 appearances to date but does not appear to be among the first-choice defensive options for Enzo Maresca.
He could be tempted by a new challenge and the opportunity to get more playing time at West Ham than is currently on offer at Chelsea.
According to FM’s information, West Ham are aiming for a loan for the 27-year-old, despite spending big in the summer on signings such as Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Whether Chelsea will sanction an exit or prefer to keep Adarabioyo, who has been a regular in the Conference League this season, remains to be seen but West Ham will certainly be asking the question according to FM.
