Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United all had scouts in attendance to watch Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha last weekend, according to Bild.
The German tabloid claims that representatives from the three clubs saw the midfielder’s performance against Bayern Munich.
Nmecha played the full 90 minutes last Saturday, helping his team secure a creditable draw at home versus the league leaders.

The 24-year-old has been on the Magpies’ radar before but that was prior to his move to Dortmund last year and he is expected to cost a lot more now.
Nmecha has a sky-high valuation
Bild report that the German international’s form means that Dortmund would only let him leave Signal Iduna Park for an “immoral sum of money”.
Nmecha still has three and a half years left on the contract he signed when he joined the Bundesliga club for €30m in the summer of 2023 so they are under no pressure to offload the player in the near future.
Newcastle have other priorities in the transfer market
While it is clear that Magpies scouts have continued to keep tabs on the former Manchester City academy player’s progress, reinforcing the midfield won’t be top of the agenda in January or even next summer.
Manager Eddie Howe is still hoping to recruit another centre-half, having failed to land Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace in the last transfer window.
With the likes of Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson set to leave St James’ Park when their deals expire at the end of the season, the club will also need to find replacements for the pair.
It is, therefore, very unlikely that Newcastle will devote a substantial portion of their transfer funds to purchasing someone like Nmecha in the short to medium term.
