According to reports, Arsenal have already begun the groundwork to upgrade and potentially even expand their Emirates Stadium home, with some work already being completed.
The start of the 2024/25 season has been littered with rumours that Arsenal are set to explore options to potentially expand the capacity of the Emirates Stadium, in a bid to boost matchday revenue for the club.
Now, just months later, these plans are slowly being actioned as the Arsenal hierarchy look to take the first steps towards a very expensive, though ultimately lucrative, expansion.

According to TBR Football, Arsenal have enlisted the help of London-based architecture firm Populous to explore possible options to increase the capacity of their North London home.
Populous were the firm who originally designed the Emirates Stadium and, more recently, their expertise was shared with the Gunners’ bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur – after designing their brand new £1.2b (€1.4b) stadium, currently named the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
TBR Football also revealed that Populous have already commenced work at the Emirates Stadium, after being commissioned to redesign the existing kitchens at the Emirates Stadium – an admittedly minor feat in comparison to a stadium expansion which could cost upwards of £500m (€602m).

Speaking during the summer about a potential expansion to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal director Josh Kroenke, son of owner Stan, said: “It would be premature to talk about any plans in depth, but the internal conversations are starting to occur about [the stadium].
“It is not an easy renovation, but we see the possibilities of what’s there. Our goal was always to compete for the Premier League title because if you look around the world, if you are competing for the title year-in, year-out, you are competing for everything else. What can our fans expect? Everything they’ve gotten in the last few years. We’re going to keep adding to the group.
“I know Mikel’s energy is through the roof in the best of ways. In our women’s team as well, you see how women’s sport is taking off around the world. We are really excited about that part of the business. But as a club, our main goal is to continue to make our supporters proud.”
