'If This Is True, It's Great News' 'Just Sack Him' West Ham Fans React As Report Reveals New Twist In Manager Situation

Julen Lopetegui has not been sacked as West Ham are still trying to negotiate a deal with Graham Potter as well as other candidates, according to The Telegraph.

The Hammers are hoping to appoint a replacement for Lopetegui until the end of the season and that is likely to be unacceptable for certain managers.

With Lopetegui set to remain in charge for this weekend’s crunch game against Wolves, fans on X have been debating why the Spaniard hasn’t already been given his marching orders:

If this is true it's great news imo, but keeping Lop on whilst leaking this is a disgrace, way to completely undermine your manager

They need to get there hands out if they pocket

The club always seems against the intern manager and I don’t know why

If your gonna change just sack him

It’s very simple. Offer a deal. If we stay up automatic 2 year extension.

SACK HIM! This is no benefit for anyone. Even Potts and Keen covering on Monday would give these players a lift. The blokes done, fallen out with half the squad, its finished, get rid.

Unrest in the dressing room suggest Lopetegui’s days are numbered

Fallouts with both Mohammed Kudus and Jean-Clair Todibo, as well as other incidents, indicates that the Irons boss has lost the players.

With that being the case, the board only have one option – sack Lopetegui. Fans are rightly frustrated about the club’s hesitation to pull the trigger.

Who is in the frame for the West Ham job?

In addition to Potter, The Telegraph claim that Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Edin Terzic, Roger Schmidt, Sergio Conceicao and Massimiliano Allegri have all been “considered”.

However, none of them are said to be willing to sign a six-month contract. Potter, on the other hand, is seemingly more open. The 49-year-old has not been in work since he was sacked by Chelsea 20 months ago.
