Tottenham welcome Chelsea to North London
Chelsea are flying high in the Premier League at the moment, sitting second in the table as Liverpool’s closest challengers for the title. The Blues have two draws and three wins in their last five games.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are struggling against every team not named Man City. Spurs are currently tenth in the table and eight points behind Chelsea.
Spurs have even fallen six points behind the race for the top four this season, which is saying something considering the generally low standard among the ‘Big Six’ this year.
It was this fixture that sent Tottenham off the rails last season, despite the Lilywhites starting the game like a house on fire. Injuries to James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven were followed by red cards for Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie, succumbing Spurs to a 4-1 defeat.
Some would argue Tottenham never really recovered from that and have struggled to maintain that level of consistency ever since.
Tottenham vs Chelsea score prediction
Pascal Chimbonda thinks Tottenham will suffer yet another Premier League defeat on Sunday, but we are a little more optimistic. We believe it could be a crazy and open match, which should suit Tottenham a little more than the games against Fulham and Bournemouth.
