Chelsea have been relatively lucky when it comes to their injuries this season, especially when taking into account the severity of their problems in the last campaign.
At times towards the ends of the season, Mauricio Pochettino was forced to rely on his academy stars as they could hardly name a first team XI of senior stars.
Under Enzo Maresca this season though, issues have been at a minimum. Only really club captain Reece James has been a long-term absentee, with him likely to miss the rest of 2024 due to another hamstring problem.

Wesley Fofana back in the gym after injury
He has been joined on the treatment table in the last few weeks by Wesley Fofana, who had started every Premier League game he had been available for before limping off against Aston Villa.
Fofana himself hinted the issue was not too bad on social media, however he is still weeks away from returning to action according to Maresca.
However, his rehab has at least got to the point where he is in the gym, as shown on his Instagram story.
Who will replace Wesley Fofana for Chelsea vs Tottenham?
It was expected that Benoit Badiashile would be the centre-back named in the starting side to replace Fofana in the Premier League, however he was nowhere to be seen in the rotated duo who took part at St. Mary’s on Wednesday.
It was Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi at the heart of defence against Southampton, and The Chelsea Chroncile’s Predicted XI to take on Spurs has the former Fulham man at the back alongside Levi Colwill.

The Frenchman is reportedly on the radar of Marseille as they look to strengthen their ranks at the back.
However, Maresca wants to keep Badiashile, and a sign of his backing of the player would to see him named in the starting side to take on Tottenham at the weekend.
