Chelsea are now prepared to sell Axel Disasi next year. They have taken this stance to welcome their top target at Stamford Bridge who will cost them hefty fee.
Chelsea are heavily linked with big moves to improve their defence next year. Fabrizio Romano already confirmed that the Blues are very active in defensive market and are monitoring a lot of players.
However, Chelsea will need to part ways with some of their exisiting stars to make space. In addition, it is a necessity due to their situation regarding Premier League PSR in the recent season.
The Blues have a very good squad depth at Chelsea right now. Colwill, Fofana, Badiashile, Disasi and Adarabioyo are the available options for centre back position.
As of now, Colwill and Fofana are safe as they are first choice defenders for Enzo Maresca. This leaves Badiashile, Disasi and Adarabioyo on the chopping list.

Benoit Badiashile is also constantly being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge. But he is still 23 years old and hence Chelsea board can present him with another chance. Adarabioyo has joined Chelsea only this summer and hence the Blues may not sell him after just one season.
This leaves Disasi who joined the Blues in summer 2023. The Frenchman has played 55 games for Chelsea so far and has top it with 5 goals and 2 assists. But, this will not be enough for him to secure his place in the Chelsea side as he has not performed well consistently.
As per TEAMtalk, Chelsea are now prepared to part ways with Disasi next year. Chelsea will part ways with Disasi if suitable offer comes their way. This will open up space for new defender. In addition, it will help the Blues in financing the move for their top target who has huge release clause.
Chelsea’s top target is Tomas Araujo of Benfica. The Portugese has £83 million release clause in his current contract. The Blues are known for spending big on the players they really like and hence this move can come live next year.
