Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Gary O’Neil is under tremendous pressure to save his job following a terrible start to the 2024/25 campaign.
After Wolves suffered a 4-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park in midweek, O’Neil’s position is hanging by a thread.
If Wolves lose the game against West Ham United on Monday night, he is most likely to get the sack.
They are 19th in the table, and three points from safety, and John Percy of the Telegraph reported that Wolves are preparing to make a change.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Wolves have earmarked West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan as one of their main candidates for the job should O’Neil leave.
The 41-year-old manager is at the “top of their list of targets”, although Graham Potter is also reportedly being considered.

Will Carlos Corberan be a good appointment for Wolves?
Ahead of West Brom’s Championship clash against Sheffield United at the weekend, Corberan has remained tight-lipped about the links with the Wolves job.
He has refused to comment on the speculation, but at the same time, he hasn’t denied it completely.
It would be a huge shock for West Brom if Corberan moves to their bitter rivals.
West Brom are seventh in the Championship and the Baggies have won just one of their past 11 matches.
Ever since he joined the club, he has shared a good relationship with the fans. A move to Wolves will tarnish his reputation among the West Brom supporters.
Corberan was recently linked with a move to Leicester City’s vacant job before the Fox appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy.
It appears that several Premier League clubs have taken note of the amount of good work he has done at West Brom, as he made them a play-off contender.
David Moyes, the former Everton manager, is also available, and he would be a very good appointment for Wolves as well.
