Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has reportedly warned both [Eric Garcia](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/8/10/24217427/eric-garcia-confirms-he-will-stay-at-barcelona-this-season) and [Ansu Fati](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/12/5/24313867/ansu-fati-offers-promising-fitness-update-as-barcelona-star-battles-back-from-latest-setback) they are facing a battle for first-team minutes for the rest of the season.

The German has seen a host of injured players return from injury in recent weeks which looks to be bad news for the two players.

Diario Sport are reporting he’s told both that first-team minutes will be hard to come by, and he won’t stand in their way if they want to move on in January.

Both players went out on loan last season before coming back. Eric had a good season at Girona, while Ansu went to Brighton but saw his campaign disrupted by injury again.

The feeling right now seems to be that both players want to stay, and won’t move this winter, although the situation may change if offers arrive in January.

Flick has already seen Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Ferran Torres make comebacks recently, with Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen next in line to return.
